The Lit for life Literacy Project

The Lit for life Literacy Project
Our library is committed to empowering communities to overcome poverty caused by illiteracy through an ongoing literacy initiative. Over the past five years, more than 500 children have graduated from our literacy classes. In 2023, we partnered with the Zambian government’s Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to expand our reach. When children become members of our library, they first enroll in the literacy and education program, where they are assessed and taught to read and write. Depending on the participants ‘ ages, this program also includes lessons on climate change, governance, and other relevant topics.
