The Access project
The Access project (Tech and Tales)
Tech & Tales is a community-driven initiative dedicated to bridging the digital and educational divide
among underserved children. Our project focuses on providing equitable access to technology, books,
safe spaces, information, teachers and engaging learning activities to empower children with the tools
they need to succeed academically, socially and beyond.
Our goal is to partner with local schools, libraries, and community centers, to establish accessible safe
spaces equipped with computers, tablets, and internet connectivity. These hubs will serve as safe and
nurturing spaces where children can explore educational software, conduct research, and enhance their
digital literacy skills under the guidance of trained mentors and volunteers.
Other than technology, Tech & Tales also prioritizes the importance of reading and literacy, the
foundation on which all learning is built. Our reading programs include interactive Storytelling sessions,
book clubs, and literacy workshops designed to foster a love for reading and improve literacy levels
among participants. It also offers a variety of learning activities to supplement formal education and
promote holistic development.
Through the Access project (Tech & Tales), we envision a future where all children, regardless of
socioeconomic background, have equal opportunities to access technology, books, and educational
resources that are essential for their academic success and personal growth. Together, we can empower
underserved youth to unlock their full potential and build brighter futures for themselves and their
communities.
